Traditional energy is still the most fundamental and irreplaceable energy support for major countries around the world. Geopolitical factors such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict have led many countries to regard fossil energy as the best energy security guarantee. demand on traditional energy sources is increasing, and the value of production capacity will continue to increase.
On the other hand, renewable energy is booming and will maintain a high industry growth rate in 2024. Hydropower, wind, and nuclear power, among others, can be chosen to diversify to improve resilience and energy security. As Canada has many projects underway, the most promising of these is LNG Canada, which is comprised of five global energy companies. With access to abundant, low-cost Canadian natural gas and an ice-free harbor, LNG exports reliable, low-emission liquefied natural gas, perhaps initially 14 million tonnes per year.
Both traditional and new energy are essentially important components of the global energy system, and they are interdependent and symbiotic.
GCFF planned an in-person energy investment conference, bringing together the senior executives of energy companies including both traditional and new energy space. This is the place where investors can see what the future energy world is shaping to be.
