Northern Superior (TSX-V: SUP, OTCQB: NSUPF, GR: D9M1) has been consolidating the Chibougamau Gold Camp in Quebec in close proximity to IAMGOLD’s Nelligan and Monster Lake projects. The camp already hosts 12.4 million oz (between IAMGOLD and Northern Superior) and is poised for rapid growth with ongoing exploration activities being advanced by IAMGOLD and Northern Superior. The Chibougamau Gold Camp is one of the largest gold camps globally not controlled by a major producer.
The Company’s Philibert Project is located just 9 km from IAMGOLD’s Nelligan Project and offers the potential to shorten the payback period of a unified operation, thanks to its superior grade and favourable metallurgy. In a recent financing led by Cormark, the Company raised CAD$8 million, including CAD$1 million from insiders (Michael Gentile, Victor Cantore and Simon Marcotte). With this funding, the Company is fully equipped to complete its ongoing 20,000-metre drill program. Insider ownership now stands at 25%.
