Robert Eckford

Mr. Eckford is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the Mining Industry spanning Australia, Africa, North and South America. He is the CEO of RUA GOLD since it listed in March 2024, prior to this he co-founded and was CFO of Aris Mining Corporation, growing the company from inception in April 2020 to now being the largest gold producer in Colombia listed on the NYSE and TSX with a market capitalization over $750M. His experience is varied from developing real operations knowledge living on mine sites across the world to understand the corporate complexities of building major companies in Perth and Vancouver. He holds a Masters of Science in Mineral Economics from Western Australia School of Mines and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Curtin University of Western Australia.
