Steppe Gold is Mongolia’s premier precious metals company, that has been rapidly forging ahead with its growth potential. We commenced production in 2020 from the ATO Gold Mine, Phase 1 oxide zone, comprising 160k oz Au. The Company recently updated its ATO Phase 2 expansion project to approximately ~103,000 ounces of gold per annum, with a 12 year mine life, for a total of 14 years to 2036 at AISC of US ~$850.

2023 has been an exciting year for the Company. They have successfully secured an impressive USD $150M project financing for our Phase 2 Expansion – this is a major de-risking milestone for Steppe Gold while ensuring minimal equity dilution. The Steppe team also recently closed the acquisition of one of the world’s highest grade gold oxide deposits in Peru, and has completed a $12.1M upsized private placement (at a premium to the market) with the participation of Eric Sprott and Steppe management.

EVP and Director

Aneel is Co-Founder, EVP and Director of Steppe Gold Ltd, and a financial services professional with +20 years of progressive experience in capital markets having worked on over $1B in deals.

He is Founder and Managing Partner of ATMA Capital Markets, focusing on advising public and private companies in the Natural Resources sector. He also serves as a Director of ION Energy Limited and Antler Hill Mining Limited.  Aneel received an MBA from the Goodman Institute of Investment Management at John Molson School of Business.
