Cloud provider Inspur Group Ltd. partners with Cisco Systems, Inc. [NASDAQ:CSCO] to build a network communications industrial park in Jinan, the capital of China’s eastern Shandong province.

The industrial park will bring in more than 100 upstream and downstream companies with a combined workforce of 20,000 employees, Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday.

Shandong-based Inspur will supply cloud, smart city and Big Data services for the park, while Cisco will assist in building a cloud platform for small- and medium-sized enterprises and support innovative projects in the zone.

The two parties established a USD100 million joint venture in Jinan last year to supply network products and technologies.

Inspur provides cloud computing and big data services to more than 130 local governments in China. Listed arm Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co. [SHE:000977] is one of the country’s largest server manufacturers.
