Dian Diagnostics Group will partner with US firm Agena Bioscience to introduce the latter’s genetic testing technologies in China.
The pair will build a local lab to promote the use of Agena’s MassArray platform for mass spectrometry in nucleic acids analysis, the Hangzhou-based medical firm said in a statement. The company did not specify the price of the deal but said it should bring more internationally branded options for local consumers and reduce the cost of such products.
California-based Agena’s core business involves prenatal, newborn, and adults’ DNA testing for cancer and genetic predisposition to inherited diseases.
