Coelacanth, based in northeast British Columbia, focuses on Montney oil and gas development with estimated resources of 15 billion barrels of oil and 13 Tcf of gas. The company is drilling three new Lower Montney wells at Two Rivers East to increase production from about 4,400 to over 10,000 boe/d by February 2026. In June, Coelacanth commissioned a new battery facility and began bringing nine Montney wells online, with results exceeding expectations.
