Yasmin is a Senior Investment Advisor (FINRA Registered Representative) with over 16 years of experience in providing financial advisory services to institutional, corporate and high net worth families.  She blends a hybrid business of merchant banking focused within the Precious Metals/Natural Resources/Technology/Cannabis Sector alongside investment counsel.  On the investment banking side, Yasmin is responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and the execution of investments.  On the investment advisory side, Yasmin is macro at heart and views a solid understanding of global macro-economics is paramount to the balancing of investment portfolios.   Her macro focus led her to advise clients to hold precious metals when gold was trading at $350 p/oz.  Yasmin has been instrumental in raising over $500M for public and private companies globally.  She sits on a board for the Toronto Stock Exchange (Venture) and is the go-to person on the financing side recommended by the Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE).  Regarding Cannabis financing related endeavors, Yasmin was a speaker representing the CSE at the recent International Cannabis Business Conference in Vancouver and featured in the CSE magazine which focused exclusively on the Cannabis sector.  She has been recognized as owing one of the top 20 investment advisory practices in Canada with Canaccord Genuity, most notably during years of extreme market volatility.  Yasmin and her team can be contacted for: financing opportunities, trading expertise particularly with mining equities, prime brokerage accounts and custodial services.

A former dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, Juli Ann began her career as an entrepreneur at the age of 23. Over the past 13 years she has owned and sold her own successful ballet school as well as consulting other owners in her field to help them grow their customer base and achieve their goals. Juli Ann has been with Western Wealth Capital for 2 years and continues to be an integral part of their growth and success.

With an unparalleled level of industry knowledge in the medical and recreational cannabis space both in Canada and the United States, Philip touches all aspects of the Ascent organization and leads in a variety of ways.  Having already co-founded a successful entrepreneurial endeavor in the tech space, Philip brings a wealth of expertise to Ascent, including a strong background in business, marketing and essential hands-on experience in the production and engineering side of the cannabis industry. Philip holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Simon Fraser University.

Prior to joining Horizons ETFs, Raphael Chow gained experience at both online and full-service investment advisory brokerage firms. Raphael holds multiple financial designations including the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS) certificates. Being trilingual in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, Raphael brings to the Horizons ETFs team a strong avenue to connect with the Asian community.

Mr. Dumas has over 35 years of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking experience. From 2004 until its recent name change and successful reorganization to Osisko Metals Incorporated, Mr. Dumas was President and Chief Executive Officer of Bowmore Exploration Ltd. Prior to that, he was owner and President of Dumas Asset Management, a private corporation providing financial advisory and consulting services since 1996. Formerly, he was an Investment Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities Inc, as well as an accountant for Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP. Mr. Dumas has served as Director and held Executive positions for numerous public companies in the mining industry as well as the technology sector. Mr. Dumas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with an Accounting major.

Mr. Ehsan has over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has led teams in the creation of many upstream oil and gas companies with a focus on acquisitions and divestitures. Over the last 12 years Mr. Ehsan has been involved as owner of O&G DPP programs, manager in mergers, acquisitions & divestitures, financing arrangements and investment with a specialty in oil and gas opportunities. His academic background ranges from a spectrum of marketing management, business management, wealth management and Petroleum based curriculums and programs such as engineering and geology, he is also an MBA candidate with specialty in Finance. Mr. Ehsan has authored various articles in the oil and gas industry, with presence as a guest speaker and judge in both this industry and academia related events.

Paul Gill is involved in the planning and implementation phases of creating new businesses and restructuring organizations. In the public markets, he is currently the CEO of Lomiko Metals (TSXV: LMR). He also works with pre-IPO companies as the CEO of Lomiko Technologies, VP Business Development of Promethieus Cryptocurrency Mining & SHD Smart Home Devices and Director of Graphene ESD. Until October 2006, he was heavily involved in the dynamic growth stage of Norsemont Mining. The company grew from a market capitalization of $1m to $50m market capitalization during his tenure. At Norsemont, he served as vice-president of business development, as well as the director, President and CEO, CFO, and Corporate Secretary.

Desmond Griffin is CEO and Co-Founder of Glance Technologies Inc. Previously, Griffin co-founded PayByPhone (formerly Verrus Mobile Technologies) and was its CEO from inception to successful  exit. Desmond led the PayByPhone team from concept to a platform processing tens of millions of mobile payments annually for millions of consumers in over 100 cities around the world. Desmond is also an active advisor to early stage technology companies. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Richard Ho, senior manager equity derivatives at TMX Montréal Exchange has been in the financial industry for over 14 years. Prior to joining TMX in 2006, he worked with a national brokerage firm in executing trades for active and high net worth clients. In his current role as senior manager equity derivatives, Richard leads various education initiatives and partnerships with brokerage firms. His aim is to help self-directed investors adapt to the use of equity options with a focus on developing and strategizing option portfolios for directional trading with predefined risk parameters. He also runs programs to show investors how to use option strategies to generate consistent income and to hedge their portfolios during times of high volatility. Richard is a derivative market specialist (DMS) by designation and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) charterholder.

Yunji Kim graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with a LL.M. in Taxation. She joined Eastwood Bio-medical Canada Inc. in 2011. She has served as the Company's President since 2013.

With well over a decade of experience, Mr. Krasic offers a broad range of financial expertise built with Thomas Weisel Partners Canada Inc., Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc., and later serving as CEO of Terrella Capital. He holds an honours degree from the University of Toronto in Finance and Economics, and a Masters Degree in Investment Management with a specialization in Capital Markets from Concordia University.

Larry Reaugh has 55+ years’ experience in the mining industry and for the past forty years he has been the CEO and President of several exploration, development and production companies including 12 years in internet and technology breakthroughs listed on the TSX, TSX Venture and NASDAQ exchanges. Several of his companies have made significant discoveries, three of which (gold/silver) went on to be producing mines. Mr. Reaugh founded American Manganese Inc. in 1998 and has served as its President and CEO since that time. Through his career, Mr. Reaugh has raised in excess of $300 million.

Mr. Shahbazi founded TIO Networks (TSXV:TNC) as a kiosk solution provider and has transitioned it into a multi-channel payment solution provider specializing in bill payment and other financial services. TIO was acquired by PayPal for CAD$304 million (Jul 2017).  He has extensive strategic Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures experience through TIO via his board previous board experience (eg. BBTV) with more than a dozen successful transactions.  Cantech named him the TSX Venture Tech “Exec of the Year”  (2014 – 2016 In 2017, he won BIV CEO of the Year, mid -market category and EY Entrepreneur of the year, financial service category.

Ken Tompson is a seasoned professional with 40 years of experience in the exploration for and development of hydrocarbon reserves both internationally and domestically.  He is a co-founder of Return Energy Inc. and has been directly responsible for several oil and natural gas discoveries throughout his career.  Ken graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1978 earning a BSc in Honours Geology and is a registered member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta as well as being a member of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists.

Martin Turenne, is the President & CEO of FPX Nickel Corp. Mr. Turenne is a senior executive with over 15 years' experience in the commodities industry, specializing in mine project development, debt and equity financing and corporate governance. He is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA, CA), having completed his accounting certification at KPMG LLP Vancouver. Mr. Turenne has worked with a wide variety of resource companies ranging from early-stage exploration companies to multinational producers, and has been a senior executive with FPX Nickel Corp. since 2012.

Mr. Ullrich has over 20 years of experience in mineral exploration and geoscience. Before joining Aston Bay in 2016, Mr. Ullrich was Chief Geologist North America for Antofagasta Minerals plc, investigating the region’s copper potential through extensive property evaluations and management of drill programs in Alaska and Canada. Prior to Antofagasta, he was Senior Geologist for Almaden Minerals, where he managed the drill program for the team’s discovery of the Ixtaca Ag-Au deposit in Mexico. Mr. Ullrich also established the Ar-Ar geochronology lab at the University of British Columbia and studied the Candelaria Cu-Au mine, Chile, while at Queen’s University. Mr. Ullrich is also on the Technical Advisory Board for CopperBank Resources.

Mike joined TIMIA as the CEO in August 2015. He is experienced in revenue financing, venture debt and venture capital investing. Previous to TIMIA, he was the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Fronterra Capital, as well as Managing Partner, CFO at Chrysalix Energy. Before working on the finance side, Mike worked in the technology manufacturing sector in product and program management, strategy and planning. Mike has a Bachelor of Commerce from University of BC, and a formal CPA designation.

Derek White has 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He holds a degree in Geological Engineering from UBC and is also a Chartered Accountant. Prior to joining Ascot Resources he was the Principal of Traxys Capital Partners, a private equity firm specializing in mining  Mr. White was President and CEO of KGHM International Ltd. from 2012 to 2015. He was also Executive Vice President, Business Development and Chief Financial Officer of Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. from 2004 to 2012. Mr. White serves as a Director of Mag Silver and Orca Gold.

Kory Zelickson is co-founder and VP of Business Development and Investor Relations for Namaste Technologies. As a co-founder of the company, Kory been involved with Namaste from the ground-up and has intimate knowledge of Namaste’s past and future business strategy. While Kory is focused on business development and in the execution of many of Namaste’s exciting opportunities, he is also keenly focused on the company’s combination with shareholders and in maintaining a high level of transparency which the company is well-known for.
