Dare Automotive Parts has partnered with Japan’s Tatsuno to produce and sell the latter’s hydrogen dispensers in China and jointly explore the hydrogen energy market.

Tatsuno will provide hydrogen dispenser technology and major components as part of the deal, the Liaoning province-based firm said in a statement.

Dare will enjoy exclusive sales rights for Tatsuno’s hydrogen dispensers in mainland China for five years under the deal, and the pair will jointly promote the certification of the product in China.

Founded in 1911 as Japan’s first manufacturer of automotive fueling equipment, Tatsuno has an extensive product range including liquefied petroleum gas dispensers, compressed natural gas dispensers and hydrogen dispensers. It set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Shanghai to enter the Chinese market in 2002.

Set up in 2004, Dare is the largest Chinese steering pump maker with 20 plants and seven research & development centers in 10 countries across the world.
