Global Medical Institutions Scramble to Join Alibaba’s Covid-19 Insight-Sharing Platform

More than 440 healthcare institutions in 104 countries and regions have applied to become members of the International Medical Expert Communication Center on Alibaba Group Holding’s DingTalk platform to share their Covid-19 experiences.

Most of the applications are coming from the US, Turkey, the UK, Pakistan, Spain, and Germany as of today, the Hangzhou-based firm said in a statement.

Members can contact doctors abroad via the platform which can translate messages into other languages. It also features video conference and live streaming functions.

The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine is one of the participants and it has already communicated with 92 medical institutions in 44 countries and regions.
