Astra’s team is credited with multiple epithermal gold-silver discoveries including world-class deposits, and boasts a strong shareholder roster led by largest owner, Michael Gentile, who owns ~17%.
The Company is currently drilling its flagship project, the bonanza-grade La Manchuria gold-silver deposit (up to 257 g/t gold and 8,356 g/t silver in reported drill intercepts) located in the prolific Deseado Massif of Santa Cruz, Argentina. The region is host to several producing mines, including the world-class Cerro Negro (Newmont) and Cerro Vanguardia (Anglo Gold Ashanti) mines.
Limited drilling at shallow depths has revealed a high-grade bulk-tonnage deposit starting at surface, which is growing rapidly and is open in all directions. The system is also producing numerous parallel veins which appear to be converging at depth, presenting the possibility of discovering a “Cerro Negro-like” high-grade feeder system.

Brian was raised on a small family farm in rural Idaho, and started working in mining and exploration in 2005, beginning in operations, logistics and project management. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. He was formerly CFO and VP of Business Development at Kiska Metals Corp (acquired by AuRico Metals in 2017, which was then acquired by Centerra Gold) where his experience included operations, business development, asset valuation, capital markets and M&A. He co-founded Astra in 2020, which has remained his sole focus.
