Danish toy giant the Lego Group and China’s Tencent Holdings will deepen collaboration to provide Chinese children with more creative and safe digital play experiences over the next two years.

The two firms have renewed their two-year memorandum of understanding regarding partnership in video games and digital safety while exploring opportunities in the fields of digital communities, intellectual property, and social responsibility, they said in a statement today.

Chinese kids and families have welcomed the pair’s previous projects, said Paul Huang, general manager of Lego China. The firms have co-developed games earlier.
