RepliCel is a regenerative medicine company developing autologous cell therapies that address diseases caused by a deficit of healthy cells required for normal healing and function.
Taimi Robotics Technology has bagged CNY200 million (USD29 million) in B-round financing, marking the largest single investment in the medical robot market to date.
Cash Capital and GP Capital led the funding, tech news outlet 36Kr reported, adding that the Shanghai-based medical robot developer will use the proceeds for research and development and market expansion.
Founded in January 2015, the startup has launched two medical bots to date, namely, a robot that delivers medical supplies such as bedding and clothing for surgery and one that provides services such as drug delivery in radiology wards.
The firm aims to leverage its key advantages in robotic movement, obstacle navigation, man-to-machine interaction and all-purpose chassis technology, company founder Pan Jing said. Taimi products also use as facial and speech recognition as well as voice analysis to provide a better service experience.
